About SkyPaid

We exist because airlines count on you giving up

Fewer than one in five eligible passengers ever claims what they're owed. We built SkyPaid to close that gap for travellers across Europe and the UK.

Our story

It started with a rejected claim

One of our founders was stranded overnight at the airport when his flight to London was cancelled three hours before departure. The airline handed out a hotel voucher and, when he asked about compensation, a form letter citing extraordinary circumstances. The aircraft had in fact been rotated to another route.

It took four months, two escalations and a court filing to recover €400. The legal argument was straightforward. What made it hard was knowing which arguments to make, which records to request, and refusing to stop at the first no.

That's the whole product. We do the part that made a legitimate claim feel impossible, at scale, for passengers who don't have four months to spare.

A rejection letter is the airline’s opening position, not the answer. Our whole job is knowing what comes next.

Legal grounding

We argue under the rules that actually pay out

Most rejected claims fail on procedure rather than on merit. We file under the instrument that gives your flight the strongest case, then escalate to the national enforcement body or to court when the airline stops replying.

Regulations we work under

  • EU Regulation 261/2004
  • UK Regulation 261
  • Montreal Convention 1999
  • Regulation (EC) 2027/97

How we work

Four rules we don't bend

They shape how we price, how we communicate and which claims we take on.

Paid only when you are

Our fee comes out of recovered money and nothing else. If your claim fails, we've simply worked for free.

We say no when it's a no

If a claim genuinely isn't winnable, we tell you rather than keeping you hopeful. A clear answer is worth more than a false one.

No legal fog

Every update is written in plain language, in your language. You should never need to reread an email from us.

A rejection isn't an ending

Airlines reject as a matter of routine. We treat the first no as the start of the case, not the end of it.

The team

A small team with unreasonable persistence

Claims handlers, aviation lawyers and engineers working the cases most services write off.

We are a small team of claims handlers, aviation lawyers and engineers. Everyone here has read EU 261 end to end, and everyone answers passenger email.

That matters, because the difference between a claim that gets paid and one that gets abandoned is usually whoever refused to accept the first rejection. We built the company so that person is always on staff.
